Vid: Brokeback Babylon
I came across the Brokeback Mountain spoof trailers when reading Wikipedia's article on Internet phenomena. I seem to remember a whole list, too, but apparently it's gone. Just go do some googling or head for YouTube right away - there are lots of them. Be it Back to the Future, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Star Trek - you name it. If it has fans, it more than likely has one or more of these parodies, too.

So, naturally, I looked for one doing B5. There was none. Now there is:



Why? - I think I've covered that already. If you want something done right, do it yourself.

Do I have a favorite part? - Lots. I was giggling quite frequently during vidding.

Any new challenges in vidding? - Lots. This is the first time I've used not only pictures but dialog. Imagine having thought of a perfect scene to use, just to find it ruined by music setting in... I also took my first tiny steps using After Effects to animate the text. Couldn't get it to fade in from the right though, I'm still peeved by this. Last and pretty much least, I had to cut the music, too.


That's the last of my vids so far. I'm not about to run out of ideas, I'll be running out of hands first...

Wow, thank you! See, this is what I love about B5 fandom. It's like, 2 degrees of separation from everyone. *grin*

Not that I'm attempting to hint or anything, but I would love to see what you'd come up with doing a Susan/Talia one of these... ;)

Picking up on the not-hint (this is me being perceptive *g*), are we talking any vid or Brokeback style? And, just S/T, no J/S/T? ;)

I've been thinking about a "normal" S/T vid for a while, but have yet to find a song that has me thinking "Yes, that's it!"

The latter... mmh, never thought about it...

Duuuude. I would LOVE to see a J/S/T vid. I would sell you my soul. It's a bit grubby but I'm sure it's still worth something... maybe. ;)

I have many B5 song suggestions should you require any *ahem* not-hints. ;)

I know I'm a few months late, but I just came across this and it's completely made of win. :) I've enjoyed the various BBM take-off music vids over the last few years (I've got a great Lost one...), and this is one of the funniest ones I've seen. Great job playing with the scenes and changing them around - you made some of the sadder scenes in the series seem inexplicably hilarious. XD I don't even ship Londo/G'Kar, but I really enjoyed this.

I don't ship them either, but taking these scenes out of context and completely screwing around with them was real fun. Maybe I should consider doing propaganda for a living ;)
