1. You turn on the radio, hear there are going to be "retro charts", think 'allright, bring on them oldies' and get to hear a song you grew up with. We're talking Dr. Alban's It's my life by the way.The above just happened to me a few minutes ago and it's what prompted this entry. I've noticed other things, too, however. So, on we go...
2. You realize it's going to be Xmas soon. Again. Wasn't the last one some three months ago?Mind you, I'm not whining. Just observing. Somewhat irritatedly ;-)
3. You begin to recognize most dead VIPs that are announced on the news, not just those who happened to be awfully young. Rabin is the first one I can think of, DeForest Kelley is one of the first that was a lot more than a name to me.
4. People you perceive to be of pretty much your age call Voyager their favorite Star Trek show, claiming they grew up with it.
5. People you perceive to be of pretty much your age start talking about school. OK, it's about the German equivalent of the A-levels (the Abitur), but still, it's school....
6. Your much younger niece is getting her driving license.
7. The tiny little boy you used to babysit is about to not only enter, but leave puberty.
8. You see a TV quiz that asks the candidates to name some of last year's number one hits. And realize you can't even think of one.
