Beauty. In the Light.
I so wish I'd have had a camera with my on my way home today.

Thanks to both the very nice spring weather we're having and daylight saving time I finally get to ride my bike in sunlight again. Some time around seven I was approaching the Frankfurter Tor (de) heading westwards. When I had to stop at some traffic lights, the sun shone right through the glass part on the top of the left tower. It looked just like a lighthouse. With the sky around it already starting to turn orange, it was amazingly beautiful. Of course, the photo below can't hope to even begin to get across the impression. Well, at least I did get to appreciate it :)

And here was I wondering why the heading to your blog entry seemed familiar *gg*

But I've had the same situation occur to me multiple times now ... every morning when I cross the Elbe on my way to work I get treated to one of the most beautiful views there is and I often times wished that I had my camera on me to capture the moment when the rising sun lights the sand stone in the warm morning light. 'sigh'

I had something like that last Friday, out of some spontaneous urge I grabbed my bicycle I drove around Hamburg a bit through the evening. There was a moment, sunset was close, view from the eastern side of the Alster Into an low orange sun, orange water. A camera integrated in my head would be really handy for situations like that.
