"I'm Off Then" aka "Ich bin dann mal weg"
Vacation time!

Going away time. Travelling time. Hiking time. Reading time. Great time :D

And this is going to be it:

Or not. Embedding is not working as it should. Frak. Well, then let's do it the old-fashioned way.

I'm not sure it's all that apparent from the map - but that's a 500 and something metres cliff. And the view ist westwards. Sunset time.

Plus, you know, all the rest of the island.

Be seein' you :)

Not too cold, not too hot, perfect. Not these alternations between light rain, rain, and heavy rain I've got up here.

Great, now I feel the need to go on a real vaction too (had the last one years ago). Thanks for that :-P

Are you going alone? Thats the main reason I didn't have any real not-crashing-on-someones-couch-vacation for some time, scheduling issues with friends, and the fear to die of total boredom if going alone.

Oh, I know that problem...

I had seriously considered doing the GR 20 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GR_20) alone, but all of a sudden my mother started a chant of "You're going on vacation?! Wanna go together?"

I haven't been on vacation with her for quite a while, but when I was it always was great. So there we are. She's paying the rental car, getting a driver and we both get to do a lot of hiking. Some other stuff too, in all likelihood, but hiking is definitely going to be the main attraction. Just the way I like it.

I'm still going to do this GR thing though. Maybe next year.

That GR thing looks really hard. But may just be me being not that much of a hiker.

A few years back (when I have been at least remotely in shape) I have been at the northern area of lake garda with my bike, very cool area, but I nearly died doing that tremalzo pass (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tremalzopass). But the downhill part really rocked (although my brake nearly gave up on me).

Wow, looks great. I do a lot better hiking than cycling though. At least when mountains are involved. I sure _would_ die doing that one.
